Shuga Scheduled to Perform at Caribbean Tourism Organization’s Caribbean Weekend in Miami

Jamaican singer Shuga will perform at the Caribbean Tourism Organization’s Caribbean Weekend, held December 4–8, 2025 at the Loews Coral Gables Hotel in Miami. Her appearance is part of CTO’s holiday dinner and fundraiser on Friday, December 5, an event designed to support the CTO Foundation’s work in disaster relief and tourism restoration across the region, with a focus on Jamaica and Haiti following Hurricane Melissa.

Shuga, who grew up in Montego Bay, first gained national attention after winning Digicel Rising Stars in 2009. She has since collaborated with artists including Marcia Griffiths, Queen Ifrica, Agent Sasco, and Busy Signal, and has toured internationally. Her forthcoming debut album Girl from Montego Bay is slated for release next year.

The fundraiser will also feature performances from Kevin Lyttle and Stan Brown, alongside remarks from regional tourism ministers and industry leaders. Caribbean Weekend brings together officials, executives, and creatives for discussions on sustainable growth, technology, resilience financing, and the ongoing modernization of Caribbean tourism.

Shuga’s performance aligns with the weekend’s broader focus on cultural expression as a central part of Caribbean identity and tourism development.
