Queen of Dancehall Spice has officially received her platinum plaque from Canada for her hit single “Go Down Deh,” featuring Shaggy and Sean Paul, from her Grammy-nominated album 10. The track, certified platinum earlier this year by Music Canada, surpassed 80,000 units in sales and streaming equivalents. Produced by Shaggy and Constantin “Costi” Ioniță, “Go Down Deh” has become the biggest dancehall smash of the decade so far, amassing over 280 million views on YouTube and 240 million streams on Spotify.

Celebrating the milestone, Spice took to Instagram to thank her fans and acknowledge her collaborators, writing, “Big up my hero @direalshaggy @duttypaul,” while recognizing VP Records for their support.

The official music video, directed by Jay Will, has further cemented the song’s massive impact. This platinum certification marks Spice’s first in Canada, highlighting her growing global influence.

Most recently, she released “Sitt’n Fi Chat” with VP Records, celebrating her 25 years in dancehall, following the release of her latest album Mirror 25.
