Jah9 will be joining recording engineer Scientist as a featured guest for a string of concerts across the U.K.
The first show, which takes place today (10/31) at Jazz Cafe in London, is billed as “Scientist Rids The World Of The Evil Curse Of The Vampires,” an annual event themed after his classic album of the same name. Since today’s show has sold out, another date has been added at the same venue on Friday (11/3.) Both concerts will feature Scientist and Jah9, backed by Scientist’s band.
The other two shows — one at The Arch in Brighton on Thursday (11/2) and the other at Fiddlers in Bristol on Saturday (11/4) — will not feature a band but will instead see Scientist creating a live dub mix out of Jah9’s vocal performance. It will be similar to their joint performance at City Splash Festival in May, in which Jah9 shared her latest single, “Open Heart” with a live audience for the first time.
