By the late 80s, after a spell in General Penitentiary, the ‘Lonely Lover’, Gregory Isaacs’ musical output was incredibly prolific, to the point that some of his offerings have gone somewhat under the radar for decades – Talk Don’t Bother Me is a prime example, originally released in 1987. With producer Kenneth ’Skengdon’ Black at the helm, backed by Lloyd Parks and We The People Band with Jackie Mittoo and Keith Sterling on keys plus Dwight Pinkney on guitar, Gregory Isaacs’ mellow, heartfelt vocal stylings are paired with tough digital riddims to great effect. Now, finally, Talk Don’t Bother Me will be available on all digital and streaming platforms once again.
