Dancehall week is coming to Reggae Month! Endorsed by the Ministry of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport (MCGES), Jamaica Cultural Development Commission (JCDC) and the Ministry of Tourism, the inaugural Dancehall Week takes over Jamaica from February 13-19, 2024 during the government of Jamaica’s established Reggae Month Celebration.
Reggae Month runs February 1 to 29, 2024 with the theme ‘Celebrating 15 Years of JaRIA.’ Now in its 16th year, Jamaica will host the majority of events including live shows, awards, panel discussions and a festival market. This year, additional activities are scheduled to be held in Miami and New York.
Reggae Month is hosted by Minister Olivia ‘Babsy’ Grange and the Ministry of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport. Dancehall Week makes its inaugural appearance in 2024. A number of events are included on the calendar to honor the contributions of members of the fraternity.
