Carlene Davis, an internationally acclaimed Gospel recording artist from Jamaica, is known for her powerful music ministry that delivers messages of God’s love and hope. Raised in Clarendon, Jamaica, Carlene moved to England at 14, and later to Canada, before returning to Jamaica, where she established a successful career with 15 albums, 11 of which were released through VP Records, and multiple hit singles.
After a cancer diagnosis in 1996, Carlene rededicated her life to Christ and transformed her music career to focus on Gospel, serving as a testament to God’s healing power. An ordained minister with a Ph.D. in pastoral counseling and a graduate of the Ron Kenoly Praise Academy, Carlene combines her musical talent with spiritual leadership. Her 2005 Gospel album Rock Me Jesus won the ‘Gospel Album of the Year’ at the Reggae Soca Music Award and is distributed internationally.
Carlene’s Gospel music catalogue includes six albums with award-winning songs like “Wish I Knew Then” and “My Forever Friend.” With her husband-managerproducer Tommy Cowan, she co-founded Vessel Ministries and operates Judah Recording Studio and Glory Music, influencing many through their music and ministry. Carlene actively participates in outreach programs, including the ‘Fun In The Son’ festival and a three-week summer outreach for inner-city children, and is a member of the Family Church On The Rock in Kingston, Jamaica.
