Winston McAnuff’s 1986 LP ‘Electric Dread’ Makes Streaming Debut

The latest release from 17 North Parade’s ongoing Skengdon catalogue reissue campaign is by Winston McAnuff, with his 1986 album Electric Dread. Produced by Kenneth ‘Skengdon’ Black, Electric Dread only contains eight songs; however, it covers a broad range of topics and styles thanks to McAnuff’s songwriting and arrangement by the prolific Jamaican session musician Bernard “Touter” Harvey. It is available digitally as of August 15.
In recent years, McAnuff has become something of a mainstream star in Europe, most notably in France, after a resurgence of interest in his music in the early 2000s, and he still continues to record and tour all over the world.
