T.O.K., an acronym for Touch of Klass, is one of Jamaica’s preeminent Dancehall groups who emerged in the 1990’s. Their energetic performances and distinctive trademark vocal harmonies ensured the groups consistent radio play and performance around the world.
The group consists of four members: Alistaire “Alex” McCalla, Roshaun “Bay C” Clarke, Craig “Craigy T” Thompson, and Xavier “Flexx” Davidson. T.O.K. quickly gained recognition for their catchy lyrics and infectious beats, becoming a mainstay in the dancehall scene.
The group’s collaboration with VP Records resulted in the release of several albums including “My Crew, My Dawgs” (2001), a groundbreaking release that solidified their reputation as innovators in the genre. The album featured hit tracks like “Eagles Cry” and “Chi Chi Man,” which became anthems in the dancehall community.
Their subsequent albums, including “Unknown Language” (2005) and “Our World” (2009), continued to receive acclaim and demonstrated the group’s evolution over the years. T.O.K.’s legacy is accented with chart-topping hits and a sure selection of their songs being played in parties around the world.
