Siccaturie Alcock, known professionally as Jah Cure, is celebrated for his extraordinary voice, captivating listeners since his early childhood in Hanover, Jamaica. Growing up in Kingston, he was inspired by reggae icons such as Bob Marley and Peter Tosh, fueling his ambition to join their ranks. The name Jah Cure was bestowed upon him by fellow artist Capleton, reflecting his youthful vitality and his adherence to natural, Rastafarian living.
Under the mentorship of Beres Hammond, Jah Cure’s musical journey took shape, but it was abruptly interrupted by his arrest and subsequent conviction in Montego Bay, a charge he continuously denied.
