VP RECORDS MARKS RECORD STORE DAY WITH STRICTLY VINYL SESSIONS IN NEW YORK AND FLORIDA
KING ADDIES, MASSIVE B, DJ PROUD, AND DJ ANTHONY LEAD QUEENS SESSION ON APRIL 18; DJ PEPPA BOXX HEADLINES MIRAMAR
I WAYNE TO APPEAR FOR MEET AND GREET IN QUEENS
VP Records will mark Record Store Day 2026 with two strictly vinyl sessions on Saturday, April 18, in Queens and Miramar.
In New York, the label’s Jamaica Avenue flagship (170-21 Jamaica Avenue) hosts a parking lot session from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., with selections from King Addies, Massive B, DJ Proud, and DJ Anthony, and sound provided by Nexxt Level Sound.
Inside the store, I Wayne, known for songs like “Living in Love” and “Can’t Satisfy Her,”will appear for a meet and greet from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., with copies of Lava Ground, Book of Life, and Life Teachings available on site.
The session will be hosted by Killa Boo, with Juici Patties as the official food vendor.
In Miramar, the VP Records retail location (6022 SW 21st Street) runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., led by DJ Peppa Boxx with sound provided by DAS.
Both events are free to the public and open to all ages. DJs will play exclusively on vinyl throughout the day.
Last year’s edition included appearances from Sister Nancy, King Jammy, Aza Lineage, and Medisun, among others.
