Bristol’s prominent Roots and Dub event ’Teachings In Dub’ celebrated its 16th birthday with two heavyweight soundsystem events on Friday the 24th and Saturday the 26th of November at The Trinity Centre, a venue based in an old church that has been running since 1976.
Curated by Dubkasm’s DJ Stryda, a stalwart of the Bristol scene since the 90s, the lineup included Mungo’s Hi-Fi, King Original, Kibir La Amlak, Solo Banton, Ashanti Selah and many more plus and our very own Greensleeves Hi-Fi, backed up Qualitex Sound and their world-beating Soundsystem. Both events sold out long in advance so The Trinity Centre was packed to the rafters with a jubilant crowd of dedicated Reggae and Dub fans who were treated to authentic Jamaican music played in the traditional way.
