Reggae recording star Romain Virgo shows fans that he is the ‘Driver’ on his cross-continent tour. Beginning with stages in Jamaica, St. Thomas, and St. Kitts and Nevis, the drive continues with shows in Martinique, New Jersey, Connecticut and New York.
With the announcement of Romain Virgo’s newest single “Driver,” and accompanied by the music video which sees Romain take his love interest on a ‘drive’ across popular hot spots in Jamaica, fans anticipated Romains return to the stage.
Following the success of the 2021 release of “Good Woman,” “Driver” takes Romain on a new musical path. Produced by reggae / dancehall powerhouse Donovan “Don Corleon” Bennett (Sean Paul, Rihanna, Sizzla), “Driver,” sharpens Romain’s lovers rock sound with a modern edge. Romain bears his soul across the track; his voice soars to new heights, packing tender romance and sensual flair into smooth melodies.
Describing the message behind the song, Romain says, “On “Driver,” I’m captivated by everything about her. I’m reassuring her that, if given a chance, I’ll prove to her that I want to be in it for the long run.”
The music video for “Driver” is directed by SAMO who features Romain courting his love interest across the idylls of eastern Jamaica; he embraces her under palm trees, serenades her in caves and lagoons, and escorts her from vista to vista in a 1977 MGB GT convertible.
