Dancehall upstart Pablo YG is set to share the seven-track project Rich N Richer EP on March 22 via VPAL Music. The release of his new song and video, “States,” on February 23 set the project’s rollout in motion.
The EP, which features artists Kranium and Valiant, is named after Pablo YG’s aspirational single, “Rich N Richer.” Released last summer, the song catapulted his career to new heights, becoming not only his most popular song to date, but also the most-viewed video from the Jamaican edition of 4 Shooters Only’s “From the Block” series, an international platform for live artist performances. At one point, the video gained the attention and praise of renowned internet personality Kai Cenat.
“States” joins both “Rich N Richer” and the more recent track “Radar” as an EP track. With a riddim composed by Phantom Beats and Yo Jani, and production by YGF Records and Herah Music, “States” finds Pablo YG listing off the gains from his career boom, shifting between an aggressive cadence and snappy melodies. “The Juvi just drop inna the states, look like a Yankee,” he boasts over the pounding beat.
Rich N Richer EP also serves as the follow-up to the Bad Juvi Mixtape, which was released in July of 2023. Following the EP’s release, Pablo YG will set off on an extensive tour of Canada, making stops in Toronto, Edmonton, Winnipeg, and more, from March through April.
“States” is now available on all streaming platforms, and Rich N Richer EP is available for pre-save.
