Last Chance for Early Bird Tickets- Grace Jamaican Jerk Festival DC

Discounted Early Bird tickets for the annual Grace Jamaican Jerk Festival, scheduled for Father’s Day, June 18 in Washington DC are available for a limited time. Patrons can purchase advance general admission tickets for only $19.00 and VIP for $99 at http://www.dcjerkfestival.com/ by entering the code JF2017 until Sunday May 7, 2017. Ticket prices will increase to $25.00 in advance and $35.00 at the event for general admission, while VIP tickets will be $125 as of May 8th.

After a successful debut on Pennsylvania Avenue in 2016, the Grace Jamaican Jerk Festival returns to a larger space on the Festival Lawn at RFK Stadium (Lot 6)., in Washington, DC. Celebrating June as Caribbean American Heritage Month, the Festival promises more food, more music and more fun.

Many will come for the mouthwatering jerk cuisine and other Caribbean foods offered by local restaurants while some come for the main stage concert with performances by reggae sensations Tarrus Riley, Romain Virgo and Queen Ifrica along with Soca’s royal couple Bunji Garlin and Fay-Ann Lyons. Local favorites Ras Slick and Image band along with comedian Raggashanti, DJ G-Nice and Ablazin Radio DJs will add more spice to the day’s entertainment.

The Jerk Cook-off Pavilion will feature cooking demonstrations and tastings by Chef Andre Fowles, winner of Food Network’s Chopped Champion and Chef Irie, host of Taste The Islands television show on PBS. Washington DC’s own Chef Giovanni Merle will showcase one of his tasty recipes while a celebrity cook-off will be one of the many highlights where the crowd will cheer on their favorite celebrity in a heated battle.

Traditional folk presentations as well as spoken word, singing and dancing will be on display on the Cultural stage to welcome patrons who arrive early to the event. The kids will be entertained with a lot of interactive games and other activities to keep them busy as well as an offering of tasty treats over in the Kidz Zone.

The move to the Festival Grounds at RFK (Lot 6) will allow for the addition of a VIP area which will offer patrons an all-inclusive menu of tapas servings, drinks and a premium viewing area for an exclusive fan experience.

Gates will open at 11:00am on June 18th and continue until 8:00pm. Tickets are available on http://www.dcjerkfestival.com/, Ticketmaster and selected Caribbean retail outlets. Kids 10 and under will be admitted free.
