Jamaican dancehall artist Intence released his new EP Sólo Chicas on August 8 via VP Records. The six-track project serves as a prelude to his forthcoming debut album VOYAGE, due out October 3.

Tailored for the ladies, Sólo Chicas explores themes of desire, heartbreak, and romantic tension. The EP builds on the momentum of Intence’s 2024 single “SHH,” a breakout fan favorite. He follows it up with a loose sequel, “B.P.P.E.,” a party track that offers praise for a woman with the kind of bluntness only dancehall can deliver.

Elsewhere on the project, Intence explores emotional openness. “Missing You” reflects on the aftermath of a breakup, while “Right Now” offers cold lines aimed at an ex. “Don’t It” shifts to a more melodic sound, leaning into infatuation.

The EP is produced entirely by Nuh Brakes Recordz, Intence’s father and longtime collaborator.  Music videos for “B.P.P.E.,” and “Don’t It,” were released alongside the EP on August 8.

In July, Intence performed at Alkaline’s New Rules Festival in Trelawny, continuing a busy stretch of live appearances. His recent work has earned attention from outlets including Billboard and REVOLT TV, which named him one of the top artists shaping the next wave of dancehall.

Sólo Chicas EP is now available on all streaming platforms.
