VP Records is proud to announce that soca sensation Fay-Ann Lyons has been nominated for the 12th annual Nigeria Entertainment Awards (NEA) in the Afro Soca Artist category.
The Trinidadian-based songstress recently celebrated her VP Records debut album “Break The World” coming in at #3 on the Billboard Reggae Chart. The remarkable achievement is a first for an individual artist album in soca. Now with the news of her nomination, she has even more to celebrate.
“My sincerest appreciation to all my fans, family and friends for supporting the album!” said Fay-Ann on her social media after hearing the news. “We have more big news to come as we move forward”.
Fay-Ann Lyons, also known for being the wife to another soca superstar, Bunji Garlin, will be performing at the annual Grace Jamaican Jerk Festival in DC on June 18th. She is also gearing up to release videos for three singles on her album- ‘Girls’, ‘High heels’ and ‘Block the Road’ featuring popular afro pop/reggae artist Stonebwoy.
The Nigeria Entertainment Awards (NEA Awards) is an annual event that focuses on African talent in the entertainment industry and their contributions. The ceremony will take place on September 3rd in New York.
