Reggae star Anthony B adds the title of concert promoter to resume with the production of the Black and Proud concert which will be staged on Saturday February 25th, 2023 at the Amazura Concert Hall in Queens, New York.
The concert features reggae stalwarts Turbulence, Pressure, Perfect Giddimani and 2023 GRAMMY-Award winner Kabaka Pyramid alongside the headlining artist Anthony B who will all perform with a live band. The concept for the Black And Proud Concert was purposefully chosen to be celebrated in February – a month recognized and observed as Reggae Month and Black History Month worldwide.
In addition to artistic performances, fans will be treated to a DJ set from Jabba and Bobby Konders, Mountain Lion Sound and Kulcha Kartel; hosting duties will come from IrieJam’s DubbMaster Chris.
Ahead of Saturday evening’s performance, Anthony B will host a meet and greet at the VP Records Retail store in Queens, New York. The get-together will run from 12pm to 2pm and will feature concert updates as well as an opportunity to speak to guest performers Turbulence, Pressure, Kabaka Pyramid and Perfect Giddimani. About the concert Anthony B says “we are excited to announce the very first staging of Black and Proud Concert. I’ve been working on this for quite some time now. Putting this event together, I wanted to ensure patrons can come out and have a grand time and enjoy good reggae music.”
“Black and Proud” came from Anthony B’s single, released in 2020 via Reggae Vibes Music.
